Why am I not receiving alerts?

Learn more about why you did not receive an alert you expected.

Alerts are sent based on how they are configured in your Dashboard. If you didn’t receive an alert, it may be due to alert settings, expected alert behavior, or notification delivery issues.

Start by confirming how the alert is configured before troubleshooting notification delivery.

  1. Confirm the alert is enabled and expected to send, in your Dashboard, verify that:
    1. The alert is enabled
    2. The alert is not snoozed
    3. The parent Issue Configuration is enabled
    4. Check if Only send one alert per issue created is enabled
  2. If you expected the alert to repeat:
    1. Edit the alert and confirm that Only send one alert per issue created is unchecked. This allows the alert to repeat based on its configured duration or recurrence.
  3. Check notification delivery
    1. Email: Check your spam or blocked folder in your email inbox. We recommend creating a folder for all GlacierGrid Alerts to funnel into. Ensure you have not blocked our alert notification email address.

    2. Text Message and Phone Call: Check your device settings. If our phone number is blocked, the calls and text messages will not go through.

    3. Push notification: Check your device settings. Ensure that push notifications are enabled on the GlacierGrid App.
