How do I set a default alert notification method?

Set your preferred alert delivery method in your user profile to ensure you receive notifications through your most convenient channel.

By allowing each user to add a default preference to their user profile, you can ensure every alert recipient is happy with the delivery method of their alert.

If you're an Account Owner or Admin, you can also update the notification preferences for your team members.

How to set my default alert notification method

GlacierGrid Mobile App 

  • Open your GlacierGrid App. 
  • Tap your initials on the top left of the homepage.

  • Choose one, or all, default notification methods.

GlacierGrid Web Dashboard 

  • Login to your GlacierGrid Dashboard. 
  • On the homepage, click your initials in the upper right-hand corner to open your profile settings.

Home Screen

  • Scroll to the bottom of the profile details of the profile to select how you'd like to receive alert notifications.
    • Select your preferred method(s) for receiving alerts.
      • Email.
      • Text Message.
      • Phone Call.
      • Push Notification.

User Profile

  • Click Submit to apply the changes.

Tip: You can select more than one notification method to ensure you don’t miss any critical alerts.

Managing Alert Notification Methods for Your Team

GlacierGrid Mobile App

  • Go to the People screen in the app.

Mobile App People Section

  • Select the user you wish to edit.
  • Tap the pencil icon in the top-right corner.

Profile Mobile App

  • Scroll to Alert Notification Method and toggle your desired options.
  • Tap Save to apply changes.

GlacierGrid Web Dashboard 

  • Log in to the GlacierGrid Dashboard.
  • Navigate to the People screen in the left-hand menu.
    • Make sure you're on the People tab.
  • Locate the user you want to update. Click the overflow menu icon on the right side of their details and select Edit.

  • Scroll to the bottom of the user's profile details to select their preferred alert notification method.

Team User Profile

  • Click Submit in the bottom-right corner to save your changes.

You're always in control of how you receive alerts. While your default settings provide a consistent notification experience, you can easily customize individual alert methods when needed.

Want a specific alert delivered differently? You can override default settings for any single notification, giving you maximum flexibility in how you stay informed.
