If you're having issues seeing a location in your dashboard, it could be due to a few reasons. This article will outline the possible issues, as well as the troubleshooting steps you can take to the address them.
A location isn't showing up in my dashboard
If a desired location does not show up in your dashboard, it could be due to one of several reasons:
- The location was not added yet in the dashboard.
- Your User was not assigned to the correct team.
- The Team has not been added to the location.
How to add a location to your dashboard
Your chosen location may not have been added to your dashboard. To confirm this, please take the following steps:
- Login to your dashboard on your mobile app or via your web browser.
- Confirm the name of the location you need visibility into on the GlacierGrid dashboard.
- Search for the name/address of the location – if it does not exist then you will have to add it.
- If your location does exist, your User may not have been assigned to the correct team. Skip to the second option below for more information.
- To add a location, click the Equipment button on your dashboard, and click on the pink Add Location button.
- If you wish to remove the location, click the X next to its name to remove it.
- Create a location name and fill out the address of the location.
- Click Save before navigating away.

How to assign a user to a team
The User attempting to view the location may not have been added to the Team that is assigned to that location. To check, please take the following steps.
- Login to your dashboard on your mobile app or web browser and navigate to the Users tab.
- Once there, check to see if the user is listed as part of the team assigned to that location.
- If they are assigned to the correct team, the Team is likely not assigned to the correct location. To learn how to correct that team’s location, scroll down to Team Location Assignment.

How to assign a team to a location
If the location was added to your dashboard and the user(s) are assigned to the correct team, then you likely have to edit your team’s location assignment so that it is assigned to the correct location.
GlacierGrid Web App – Classic dashboard
If you are using the Classic web dashboard (white background), please follow these steps:
- Login to your web dashboard on your mobile device or computer.
- Navigate to the Users tab and then select the Teams button.
- Identify which team you wish to add or remove to your chosen location.
- Click the edit button (the pencil icon) to the right of the team name.
- Add the desired location to the Locations drop down
- Alternatively, if you are looking to remove the location click the X button next to the location’s name.
- Alternatively, if you are looking to remove the location click the X button next to the location’s name.
- Click the Save button before navigating away.
- Confirm that you can now view the location in your dashboard, or that it no longer appears if you chose to remove it.

GlacierGrid Web App – Energy dashboard
If you are using the Energy dashboard, please follow these instructions:
- Login to your web dashboard and select Energy Dashboard in the top right corner.
- Click on the People tab and then select the Teams button.
- Identify the Team that needs a location added/removed and click on it.
- In the Locations drop down, enter in the location you need to add or click the X next to the location name to remove a location already added.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the Save button before navigating away.
- Confirm that you can now see the location in your dashboard (or that it is now removed).

GlacierGrid Mobile App
If you are using the GlacierGrid Mobile App, please follow these instructions:
- Open the GlacierGrid App on your mobile device.
- Click on the People tab and then select the Teams button.
- Identify the Team that needs a location added/removed and click on it.
- Select the Edit pencil icon in the top right of the team page to make changes to the team’s details.
- Click Add Location and search for the team that needs to be added.
- If you wish to remove a location, click the X icon next to its name to remove the location from the team.
- If you wish to remove a location, click the X icon next to its name to remove the location from the team.
- Confirm that you can now see the location in your dashboard (or that it is now removed).
