Sales Development Representative at GlacierGrid

We’re hiring a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to drive an outbound pipeline through high-volume cold calling into the U.S. and Canadian markets.

This is a call-heavy role. If you enjoy speaking with prospects, handling objections, and booking meetings through persistence and skill, you’ll do well here. If you prefer email or passive outreach, this is not the right role.

Your primary responsibility is simple: Book qualified meetings for our sales team.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Make 60–80 cold calls per day to prospective customers in North America
  • Spend ~50% of your day actively calling
  • Use scripts, messaging, and your own judgment to drive conversations and book meetings
  • Handle objections and keep prospects engaged long enough to secure a meeting
  • Follow up with prospects via email when needed
  • Conduct research on accounts and contacts before outreach
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM (notes, contact updates, call outcomes)

You are not selling the full product—you are selling a meeting.
GlacierGrid helps multi-location businesses reduce energy costs and equipment issues through sensors and automation.

Your goal is to get prospects interested in a free 90-day pilot that typically delivers:

  • ~10% energy savings
  • Reduced service calls
  • Fast installation (4–6 hours)
  • Quick ROI (~1 month)

Who You’re Calling

  • Directors and VPs of Operations and Facilities
  • Companies with 50+ locations
  • Industries: restaurants, convenience stores, retail, gyms

What Success Looks Like

  • Target: 8 held meetings per month
  • (~16 meetings booked per month based on ~50% hold rate)

Ramp expectations:

  • First 30 days: At least 1 held meeting
  • First 60 days: At least 8 held meetings total
  • By 90 days: Hitting full target (8 held meetings/month)

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $2,200 USD/month
  • Commission: $100 per held meeting
  • On-Target Earnings: ~$3,00/month

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–3+ years of SDR or cold calling experience
  • Strong English communication skills (must be comfortable speaking with U.S. prospects)
  • Ability to handle rejection and maintain high call volume daily
  • Comfortable thinking independently and adapting messaging in real-time
  • Experience selling into the U.S. market is a plus
